As a young girl growing up in N. Ireland our father would take us out into the countryside with a camera in our hands and tell us, 'I don't want a picture, I want a story'. I couldn't wait for every adventure and fell in love with photography.

We came to Canada when I was 10 and I fell in love with the beauty that was everywhere. We spent our summers travelling and seeing a lot of Canada and I was able to capture many 'stories'. From there I started to paint what I had gathered, 1st acrylics then later in life watercolor. My husband is a woodworker and at a show I saw some wood burned pieces of art and I was hooked.

After working for the school board for 35 years I retired to work solely on my art. I spend most days doing what I love best and exploring different mediums to express my love for our world.
